Founded in 1959 by and for the community, the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham is a permanent charitable endowment to drive positive change. We welcome partnerships with individuals, families and businesses who want to be part of improving the life of the Birmingham region. People can leverage their charitable gifts or guide their estate planning through the Community Foundation.
We focus all our work on a Results Framework, including strategies that we support in partnership with nonprofits across Greater Birmingham. Current initiatives include Prize2theFuture to transform one city block to create a cooler, more vibrant city center and raising funds to support the unmet needs of tornado survivors across Alabama.
