Feb. 2 big day for giving across Alabama
Are you ready to give? With the spirit of the holidays just past, we’ve got even more reason to help all the nonprofits in our state on Alabama Gives Day, Feb. 2, 2012.
This is the first-ever statewide giving opportunity, organized by the Alabama Association of Nonprofits, in partnership with the Alabama Broadcasters Association and the Razoo Foundation. Other states have raised millions, and we think we can do the same with this one great day of philanthropy.
How can you be a part of Alabama Gives Day?
- If you have a favorite nonprofit, make sure they sign up on line by Jan. 15. Contact Russell Jackson to find out more.
- Spread the word by sharing this post. Tell people why you think it’s important and make sure everyone knows about this chance to participate.
- Get ready to give on Feb. 2. Whether you can give $5, $50, $500 or $5,000, your gift will be part of something really big on Alabama Gives Day.
Where will Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham gifts go? On Feb. 2, we will use all gifts through Alabama Gives Day for tornado recovery across our state. On all other days, you can give on line to the results-based work of the Community Foundation across our region.
