50 scholarships available for Nonprofit Summit March 2-3
Navigating Our New Reality is the theme of the 2010 Nonprofit Summit, set for March 2-3 at the Cahaba Grand Conference Center off U.S. 280 near I-459. If you represent an Alabama nonprofit, as a member of board or staff, that's the place to learn from national experts, including Peter Brinkerhoff and Paul Firstenberg, at a high-quality conference organized by the Alabama Association of Nonprofits.
Check out the website for the Association (formerly Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama) for a full list of speakers and conference sessions and registration information. You can pay on line by credit card or send check or credit card information by mail to P.O. Box 292305, Birmingham AL 35229.
If your organization is in Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Walker or Blount counties, you also may qualify to receive a $50 scholarship for any new or additional registration. Contact Erin Tumlin at 879-4712, ext. 31 to find out if your organization can benefit from one of the 50 scholarships available thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation.
The Association, now in partnership with the University of Alabama and Samford University, is looking for additional partnerships with other leading colleges and universities throughout the state in an effort to improve services to nonprofit organizations throughout our state. If you are not already part of the Association, the Nonprofit Summit is a great opportunity to learn more about the organization, as well as about topics that range from finance and fund development to branding and organizational leadership.
