Get on track for transformation
You'll find your ticket to the future on April 3, when the Community Foundation unveils a new way to build a bright future for Greater BIrmingham. Everyone is welcome at our 2008 annual meeting, when you'll be among the first to hear how we plan to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2009.

RSVP today by e-mail or call 327-3802. We look forward to seeing you at 5 p.m., Thursday, April 3, at B&A Warehouse, 1531 First Avenue South, for a one-hour meeting and reception to follow.

On the agenda is a celebration of the Three Parks Initiative, which launched Red Mountain Park and Railroad Park (located just across the street from B&A Warehouse) and additions to Ruffner Mountain Nature Center.

And there's the answer if you were wondering the location of the scene on postcard above. It's one of the amazing views on Ruffner Mountain, one of Birmingham's hidden treasures.

Because of Community Foundation leadership and the support of our community of donors, Ruffner, Red Mountain and Railroad parks are well on their way to transformation. Together, these parks will make Birmingham a national leader in green space.  And this is just one of the initiatives you'll hear more about on April 3.

See the sidebars on this page for details about other achievements of the Community Foundation in 2007 and beyond.
