Grantmaking funds can be created to support your personal approach to giving and your charitable intent. Contact Erin Stephenson, Director of Gift Planning by e-mail or at 327-3805 for assistance in selecting the one that matches your giving needs.
Community Catalyst Funds Donors pool their unrestricted gifts with others for grantmaking targeted to high-impact, broad-reaching initiatives, determined through a proactive process overseen by the Board of Directors. Click here or contact Erin Stephenson by e-mail or phone at 327-3805 to find out more about making a gift of any size or establishing a named fund so that you can be part of the next transformational investment.
Community Funds Community Funds allow your Community Foundation to respond to pressing and often changing needs in our community, based on priorities set through input from our community at large. Your Community Foundation distributes grants from Community Funds twice a year to area nonprofits through a competitive process.
Field of Interest Funds Field of Interest Funds are often established to support particular interest areas, specific program initiatives, causes or geographic areas. As a donor who establishes a Field of Interest Fund, you can restrict grants to a specified area of interest, while providing flexibility for our staff to determine how best to respond to changing needs.
Donor/Family/Corporate Advised Funds If you wish to actively participate in the process of making grants, advised funds provide you, your family or your corporation with a flexible mechanism to make your charitable efforts as effective as possible. Without the administrative burden of a private foundation, you can recommend charitable projects or organizations you want to support and distribute grants to multiple nonprofits through a single advised fund.
Scholarship Funds You can structure your Scholarship Fund to benefit students at any education level, or for a specific institution. You can choose to stay involved through advisory relationships, or name an advisory committee to assist in the selection of recipients. Either way, our staff will handle the necessary paperwork and ensure that scholarships are distributed in an equitable manner.
Designated and Agency Endowment Funds Your support for a particular charity can become perpetual through a Designated Fund. Your gift also is protected if the original charity ceases to exist, becomes obsolete or is unable to perform their charitable purposes, because our Board of Directors is able to redirect the funds to an organization providing similar services without the cost of expensive legal action.
Many nonprofit organizations establish an Agency Endowment Fund with us in order to grow assets to meet current and future needs. They look to our Board of Directors for strong investment oversight services and to our staff for administrative management, freeing the nonprofit to focus on their mission.
You can create a new Designated Fund or contribute to an existing one, or contribute to existing Agency Endowment Funds.
Let us help you select the grantmaking fund that works best for your particular giving situation. Please click here to contact us for more information or contact Erin Stephenson, Director of Gift Planning, by e-mail or by phone at 327-3805. |
